The town is blessed with beautiful beaches, such as Karathona and Arvanitia. Karathona Beach, a long sandy stretch surrounded by trees, offers clear, shallow waters making it ideal for families while a range of amenities, including sunbeds and seaside tavernas complete the atmosphere. Arvanitia Beach, closer to the town center, is a picturesque pebble beach under two of the castles in Nafplio, providing an amazing scene for swimming and taking in the wonderful views.
Nafplio is also home to several historical landmarks. The island fort of Bourtzi, situated in the middle of the harbor, is one of the town’s iconic symbols. Accessible by boat, it offers panoramic views and a glimpse into Nafplio’s Venetian past.
